The Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management - Kerala is set up in 2000 by the Government of Kerala to be the state's premier institute in teaching and research of Information Technology and related disciplines. The Institute offers post graduate programmes using state-of-the-art IT support and infrastructure. The following temporary posts are required to support Land Resources Information System and Disease Spread Modeling Projects.

Project Associate (Geoinformatics) – One post.

Essential Qualifications: M.Tech in GIS\Geoinformatics\Spatial Information Technology/Remote Sensing/GIS/Geomatics) or PGDIT & MSc IT of IIITMK. The candidate should have analytical knowledge in commercial and open source GIS software with strong knowledge in Database Concepts and Good written & communication abilities. Minimum 5 years experience in the relevant area. 

Age : 35 years

Remuneration: 22,000/-

Web GIS - Application Developer – One post

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc.(IT) \ B.Tech (IT \ Computer Science), MCA. Strong familiarity with IT and system development concepts and techniques inclusive of Web application development methodologies / tools, programming languages. Experience in Core Java.

A walk-in interview to fill a post of Project Assistant to join a time-bound research programme on “DNA barcoding and fingerprinting as valuable molecular tools for the certification of planting materials in bamboo” will be held at 10.00 am onward on 11th August 2014, at KFRI.
