Indian Navy Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for Indian Navy Group C 2025:

1. Syrang of Lascars:

   • 10th pass from a recognized Institute or Board.
   • Syrang Certificate under Inland Vessels Act, 1917 or Merchant Shipping Act, 1958.
   • Two years of experience as Syrang-in-Charge of a registered vessel with at least 20 horsepower.

2. Lascar-I:

   • 10th pass from a recognized Institute or Board.
   • Knowledge of swimming.
   • One year of experience on a registered vessel.

3. Fireman (Boat Crew):

   • 10th pass from a recognized Institute or Board.
   • Knowledge of swimming.
   • Certificate of having completed a pre-sea training course.

4. Topass:

   • 10th pass from a recognized Institute or Board.
   • Knowledge of swimming.

Age Limit for Indian Navy Group C 2025 (As on 01.04.2025):

1. Syrang of Lascars – 18 to 25 years
2. Lascar-I – 18 to 25 years
3. Fireman (Boat Crew) – 18 to 25 years
4. Topass – 18 to 25 years

Age Relaxation:

• For SC/ST applicants: 5 years
• For OBC applicants: 3 years
• For PwBD (General/EWS): 10 years
• For PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
• For PwBD (OBC): 13 years
• For Ex-Servicemen: As per Government policy

Pay Scale for Indian Navy Group C 2025:

1. Syrang of Lascars – Level 4, Rs. 25,500 – Rs. 81,100/-
2. Lascar-I – Level 1, Rs. 18,000 – Rs. 56,900/-
3. Fireman (Boat Crew) – Level 1, Rs. 18,000 – Rs. 56,900/-
4. Topass – Level 1, Rs. 18,000 – Rs. 56,900/-
