A walk–in interview will be held on 27.05.2016 for recruitment of one number of Junior Research fellow (JRF) for DBT-BBSRC project entitled “Molecular epidemiology of tick and tick borne disease, host resistance and development of novel pathogen vaccines” sponsored by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, at the Department of Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal – 637002. The post is purely on temporary basis and need based and they should not claim any regular employment at a later date. The service is liable to be terminated at any time without assigning any reasons thereof. The service of the persons so engaged will automatically stand terminated with the termination of the project. The duration of the project is for one year. The details of the post and its minimum qualifications are as follows

Name of the post: Junior Research fellow (JRF)

Salary:25,000/-pm and 10% HRA

Minimum Qualifications:

B.V.Sc. (Veterinary Science &AH)

 or 

M.V.Sc., in Veterinary Parasitology -Preferable (Rs.25,000 + 10% HRA)

Age: Age below 35 years

Candidates with OGPA of 3.5 / 4.0 (or) 8.0 / 10.0 (or) First class or equivalent grade/ marks are preferred. Candidates having research experience in a reputed laboratory / institute and collection of blood from cattle and identification of ticks, computer and statistical analysis software will be preferred. Filled in application in the prescribed proforma should be brought along with relevant original certificates (Course completion certificate, provisional degree certificate, Degree certificate) and photo identity to the Department of Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary College and Research Institute, Lathuvadi, Mohanur Road, Namakkal - 637 002, on the day of Walk-in Interview. A one hour objective type of written test followed by interview would be held on the same day.
