Essential Qualification : 1. A recognized medical qualification (MBBS) included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also ful fil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical council Act, 1956. 2. Completion of compulsory rotating internship– candidates who may not have completed rotating internship shall be eligible to appear for the interview provided that, if selected, they shall have satisfactorily completed the compulsory internship before appointment. Job Responsibilities Medical care of ill/suspect travellers during the events which have public health risk like yellow fever disease, SARS, pheic (Like EBOLA, H1N1 etc.)Desirable : Basic knowledge on International Health Regulations.
