Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC)

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is a Scientific Society of the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India. C-DAC is a National Centre of Excellence, pioneering application oriented research, design and development in Electronics and Information Technology. C-DAC has contributed significantly to the growth of the industry in general and the electronics sector in particular through the indigenous development of commercially viable systems and products, foreign technology absorption, adaptation and upgradation, consultancy and training and turnkey implementation of contract projects. C-DAC has several firsts to its credits and is the recipient of prestigious national level awards for excellence in application-oriented R & D. 

C-DAC Thiruvananthapuram requires the following positions ON CONTRACT BASIS:- 

Post No: 67.1 - Project Fellow in a KSCSTE Project. 

Number of Posts - 03 Posts 

Stipend - Rs. 12,100/- per month (Rupees Twelve Thousand One Hundred only)  

Qualifications required for the post - B.E./ B.Tech (Electronics & Communications Engineering / Computer Science with 70% marks). 

 Desirable qualification - M.Tech in Image processing / Work experience in image processing.  

Age Limit: i) Should not exceed 28 years as on 1st July 2015. ii) Relaxation upto 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer), 5 years for SC / ST and 10 years for PWD (Persons With Disabilities) candidates are admissible as per GoI orders. 

General Conditions: 
i) All qualifications must be full time regular courses from Recognized Institutes / Universities.
ii) The Number of vacancies indicated is provisional and may vary at the time of actual selection. The Centre reserves the right not to fill up any of the posts, if it so desires. 

Terms of Engagement 
i) The assignment is purely on temporary in nature for an initial period of one year which may be extended or curtailed subject to performance of the incumbent and need of the project. The project is sponsored by Govt. and duration is two years.
 ii) Appointment based on this advertisement will not confer any right whatsoever on the Recruitee for any regular appointment in C-DAC Thiruvananthapuram or any other unit.

Selection
i) Initial screening will be based on academic records. The minimum eligibility for applying will be 70% marks in the qualifying examination. No rounding off of marks is permitted.
 ii) Centre reserves the right to fix a higher percentage in the initial screening, if sufficient number of candidates with higher percentage of marks is available. 
iii) Short listed candidates will be called for Test/Interview. The exact date, time and venue of the Test/Interview will be intimated separately through e-mail.

Interested candidates may please download the application form and apply in the prescribed manner by 01.07.2015 and forward the application along with copies of certificates (age, qualification, experience, caste etc.) & mark sheets and a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 250/- for male candidates and Rs.100/- for female candidates (SC / ST / PWD Candidates are exempted) by Demand Draft drawn in favour of C-DAC, Thiruvananthapuram so as to reach to the Section Head (HRD) , C-DAC, PB No 6520, Vellayambalam, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 033, on or before 6 th July 2015 (5.30 PM) superscribing the envelope “Application for the post of Project Fellow.” Name of the applicant should be clearly written on the backside of the DD.
