Project Positions

Applications on plain paper along with detailed curriculum-vitae/Biodata are invited for the following temporary research project positions in the Ministry of Earth Sciences (ICMAM), Government of India, funded Research Project tenable for a period of one year at the first instance and likely to be extended.




Junior Research Fellows (2 Nos.): 
To work on Marine Ecotoxicology problems - conduct toxicity tests on various marine organisms using flow-through bioassay systems which involves
extensive laboratory and field work. Fellowship: Rs.12,000 p.m. plus HRA as per rules (1^st & 2^nd year); Rs.14,000 p.m. plus HRA as per rules (3^rd & 4^th year). Qualification(s): A First Class M.Sc., in Marine Biology/Zoology/Biology with GATE/NET/M.Phil./Prior Experience. Entrance test and interview will be conducted for the selection. Candidates with strong aptitude for research will be encouraged to register for Ph.D. degree


Technical Assistant with SCUBA Certification (1 No.): 
To help collect marine samples and animals which involves extensive field work - swimming, snorkeling and diving skills essential. SCUBA diving certification preferred. Emoluments: Rs.10,000 p.m. consolidated. Qualification(s): Any undergraduate degree with SCUBA Diving certification. Previous experience in SCUBA diving in marine research projects preferred.
