QUALIFICATIONS

Junior Research Fellow: The candidate should have a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the qualifying degree. Additional qualifications for JRF are: Post-graduate degree in any area of Basic Sciences in Biology with NET qualification, OR Graduate Degree in a Professional Course in Biology with NET qualification, OR Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course in Biology. In case a suitable candidate with the above qualifications is not found, candidates with a Masters degree in Biological Sciences may be considered for the position of Project Assistant.

Field Assistant: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent grade) as well as demonstrable work experience in conducting field work on an ecological project for atleast 6 months. OR Master’s degree in Ecology, Wildlife Biology, Zoology, Biosciences with demonstrable work experience in conducting field work on an ecological project for atleast 3 months.

Eligibility

Candidates who have a Ph.D. degree in Biological, Chemical, Mathematical and Physical Sciences/Engineering/Technology and related areas as applicable are eligible to apply. The Fellowship carries a remuneration of INR 40,000/- per month (under review) for the first two years and INR 45,000/- (under review) per month in the third year, with no other allowances.
