Applications are invited for the short-term engagements in the project titled “Preparation

of Marine Biodiversity Register (MBR)” by Kerala State Biodiversity Board

1. Project Co-ordinator – (One post)

Job involves co-coordinating with different people and agencies in the coastal region in the preparation of MBR.

Qualification: - Co-coordinator should be from the project area, should have adequate knowledge in traditional and cultural information regarding marine biodiversity and ecosystem, traditional knowledge associated with natural refs, traditional knowledge associated with marine bio resources, in depth knowledge about fisherman community. The applicant should have experience in preparation of Marine Biodiversity Register, familiarity with folklore knowledge of marine bio data.

Remuneration: - Rs.25,000/- (all inclusive)

Age: - Below 60 years

2. Data procesor – (One post)

Job involves tabulation and presentation of data, graphs, images etc in the MBR

Qualification: - Higher Secondary, recognized diploma in computer application. Should have adequate knowledge and experience in the use of software such as Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop,PageMaker, etc. Should have field experience, traditonal knowledge and be a resident of coastal area.

Remuneration: - Rs.8, 000/- (all inclusive)

Age: - Below 50 years

3. Helper – (Two posts)

He will be required to assist Project Co-coordinator and data processor in the preparation of MBR, in the collection of specimen across the coastal stretch of Thiruvananthapuram District.

Qualification: - Higher Secondary Pass 

zCandidate should be native of coastal area and knowledgeable about marine biota

Remuneration: - Rs.8,000/- (all inclusive)

Age: - Below 50 years

Qualified candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview at 10 a.m. on 24-09-2014 at KSBB Head  Quarters; L-14, Jai Nagar, Medical College P.O., Thiruvananthapuram with application and necessary documents.
