A walk-in interview to fill the post of Project Fellows to join a time-bound research programme on “ Long-term monitoring of forest ecosystem dynamics: Phase I: Establishment of 10 ha. permanent plot in tropical wet evergreen forest of Kerala” will be held at 10.00 am onward on 3rd August 2015, at KFRI. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criterion mentioned below are invited to attend the interview. Please bring testimonials in original.

Essential qualification : A minimum second class post graduate degree in Botany
Desirable : 1. Research experience in the field of angiosperm taxonomy
2. Field experience in evergreen forests of Kerala
Project Fellow-2
Essential qualification : A minimum second class post graduate degree in Botany/Zoology/Ecology/Forestry
Desirable : 1. Field experience in evergreen forests of Kerala
2. Knowledge and experience in establishing permanent sample plots in forest areas
Project Fellow-3
Essential qualification : A minimum second class post graduate degree preferably in science subjects with experience in GIS tools such as ArcGIS, Mapinfo, QGIS etc.
Desirable : 1. Field experience in evergreen forests of Kerala
Fellowship : Rs.11,000/- + 10% HRA per month
Duration : Two Years (15th June 2015 – 15th May 2017)
Age : As on 01.01.2015, 35 years. Age relaxation of five years in the case of scheduled caste/scheduled tribe candidates and three years in the case of other backward communities as per government rules will be given.
