Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is the premier R & D organization of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Ministry of Communications & Information Technology (MCIT) for carrying out R & D in IT, Electronics and associated areas.
C-DAC , Bengaluru seeks applications from suitable and interested candidates for the following position on contract basis for Internet of Things (IOT).

Educational and other qualifications required
| Educational Qualification:
I Class B E / B Tech or equivalent degree in relevant discipline with at least 7 years of post-qualification work experience
Desirable: Masters of Technology (M Tech) / Master of Engineering (M E) or M.S in Electronics and Communications with at least 3 years of post-qualification work experience.
Preferable: PhD in one of the areas related to Electronics and Communications. |
Areas of expertise | C programming, JAVA programming, Microcontrollers, Operating system knowledge, Networking concepts, Wired and Wireless network protocols, Ethernet, Zigbee and Wi-Fi protocols, Mobile and ad-hoc networks Security concepts for embedded systems, cryptography, key exchange protocols and authentication, Software defined networking, development of secure protocols for mobile and ad-hoc networks, Knowledge in IDE development |
Roles and Responsibilities | The role involves development of software for embedded systems security, code review for projects related to conditional Access System for Set top box, guiding projects related to security in Internet of Things, writing project proposals in the area of Internet of Things security Should independently handle the project responsibilities adhering to time lines specified time to time. |
Age Limit | i) Maximum Age 35 years as on 31.01.2015
ii) Relaxation up to 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer), 5 years for SC / ST and 10 years for PWD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates are admissible as per GOI orders.
General Conditions
i) All qualifications must be from Recognized Institutes / Universities.
ii) The number of vacancy indicated is provisional and may vary at the time of actual selection. The Centre reserves the right not to fill up any of the posts, if it desires. |
Term of Engagement | i) The assignment is purely on contract basis for a fixed term of 2 years to meet the ongoing project requirements, which may be extendable as per requirement of the Centre
ii) Appointment based on this advertisement will not confer any right whatsoever on the Recruitee for any regular appointment in C-DAC, Bengaluru or any other unit.
iii) Performance of the employee will be reviewed periodically during the first year and continuation of the assignment to the second year, will be purely based on the performance of the employee. |
Selection | i) Initial Screening will be based on relevant skill set, experience and aggregate marks secured in relevant qualifying degree. The minimum eligibility for applying will be I class in the qualifying examination. No rounding off marks is permitted
ii) Centre reserves the right to fix a higher percentage in initial screening, if sufficient number of candidates with higher percentage of marks is available
iii) Shortlisted candidates will be called for Multi level Interview. The exact date, time and venue of the interview will be intimidated separately through e-mail/ letter by post. |

Candidates are required to fill the application form as per the enclosed format and send the same between January 30 to February 13 2015 to hrd-blrkp@cdac.in or post to the address mentioned below.
Important Points to Note:
i) Applications of candidates claiming SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer) / PWD status will be considered for relaxation, only if the duly attested copy of Caste / Non Creamy layer Certificate / Medical Disability Certificate as the case may be, issued by the Competent Authority id produced at the time of interview for final selection.
ii) The candidates are alone responsible for the authority of information provided by them. Any wrong information provided will make them automatically disqualified for the interview, irrespective of the ranking obtained in the test.
iii) Shortlisted candidates for interview will be required to submit the following documents while reporting for selection interview
- Hard copy of the resume
- All academic certificates in original along with one set photocopy
- Caste / Community Certificate for SC / ST/OBC- Non Creamy Layer as applicable in original along with a photocopy
- Medical Disability Certificate issued by Competent Authority in the case of PWD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates.
iv) Candidates are required to appear for interview at their own cost.
v) SC/ST/PWD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates appearing for the final interview at Bengaluru will be eligible for reimbursement of II Class Sleeper to and fro train fare on production of proof of journey and subject to verification of original Caste Certificate / Medical Certificate
vi) Persons working in Government / PSUs/autonomous bodies are required to forward an advance copy of the application and later submit hard copy of the application through proper channel
vii) No interim correspondence will be entertained
viii) Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
