Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least first Class (60% marks) in the qualifying degree level + Sixteen years experience in Research and Development, Survey, Planning, Administration, Supervision or training, etc., in the general field of ocean technology & engineering.

Scientist - F (Life Science)
|
Master’s degree in Life Science in marine biology, biotechnology, environmental science from a recognized University / National Laboratories or its equivalent with at least First Class (60% marks) in the qualifying degree level + Sixteen years experience in Research and Development, Survey, Planning, Administration, Supervision or training, etc., in any of the field of environmental science and engineering, marine biotechnology, cage culture of fishes, coastal ecosystems, climate change.

Scientist - D (Civil)
|
: Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural / Ocean Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least First Class (60% marks) in the qualifying degree level + Seven years experience in Research and Development, Survey, Planning, Administration, Supervision or training, etc., in any of the areas of ocean technology or engineering like offshore structure design and implementation, coastal protection, port and harbor engineering, environmental engineering.
